I must admit, I am very timid about starting a blog but have been truly inspired by the blogs I have read lately. Most are related to their passion for preserving moments in pictures and telling a story behind it. And blogging is another way to preserve those every day moments in life and to share it with friends and family. That is why I decided to take the plunge and see where I end up with this.
A close friend of mine introduced me to scrapbooking several years ago. I've never taken a real interest in crafts, but she helped me discover a creative side I never knew I had and it has become a fun and important hobby to me. With this hobby, I have met many people (mostly at crops, conventions and at scrapbook supply stores) and made many new friends. Some days I feel as though I am thriving with inspiration and other days I am desperately seeking it. But that is what is so fun about this hobby -- is seeking inspiration -- whether it is purchasing an embellishment, paper, magazine or talking to friends or scanning the chat boards and blogs....whatever it takes to give you that inspiration, it sure is satisfying when you find it! What is even more satisfying is when you already have the inspiration and quickly want to get it down on paper.
I also have a passion for decorating and shopping (another "hobby"), which, in my opinion, go hand-in-hand with scrapbooking.
