The master plan begins with a small walk-in closet. Having rendered plans for organization in this little bitty room, I'd now like to focus on wall color, a light fixture, a decorative switchplate and an ottoman in order to create a sophisticated closet.
On wall color, I'm contemplating beige-type color. My one-and-only suggests I stick with the orginal color, builders-white. But this is my little haven where I spend most of my time trying to decide what to wear. Typically, I will say that I have nothing to wear followed by my guy rolling his eyes. What can I say, on a particular day when I'm dressing for my mood (either I need something to hide my bloated belly or I'm feeling a little more self confident), you know what I mean?
So I'd like a neutral color with a bit of stylized sophistication. And paint is such an affordable accent for a room.
To continue with this theme, a glass mirror switchplate from SwitchHits.com is definitely budget-friendly and the perfect accent for this closet.
I'm seeking a storage ottoman (reasonably priced) because you've got to take storage where you can get it. Not only is it an ideal place to sit your fanny and put on shoes, but it would be great to store socks, hosiery or whatever you desire. So I'm still searching for that piece.
Executing these plans will take time, and pacing myself to do it right and within budget is important to me. In the meantime, I am purging all the outfits I haven't worn in the last 2 years. There may not be anything left to store in the new closet. I may need a new wardrobe. Just kidding.
Tonight, it's a trip to Lowe's for paint swatches. :)
