A very cherished card from a very special friend that I received on my birthday back in the 1990's. Unfortunately, I do not recall which birthday (I know, the mind is the first to go).
It now hangs in my new closet. I simply purchased a certificate frame from Target but it didn't quite fit as there was about 1/8" gap between the bottom of the card and the matting. So I took ribbon from my collection of Jo Malone boxes and wrapped it around the frame to hide the gap.
There are 2 reasons why this card means a lot to me. One is that it is from my very best friend, and two, it depicted a dream of mine. The dream was to have a closet where I felt like I could pull up a chair, eat my birthday cake and stare at the beauty of it all. I saved this card for years hoping one day I would display it in my dream closet.
It didn't quite happen on my special day but we are almost there. We have the light fixture to install and are waiting on hardware from the manufacturer. I do plan to share more pics soon.
Fulfilling a dream, whether it is career-oriented, family-related, or home-related....it is nice to see it come to fruition. And in my case, this closet means a lot to me. :)
