Equipment favorites...
It is hard to keep up with the latest in technology as you've spent oodles of money on what you deem to be the latest, then tomorrow they offer something new and improved. Perfect example is the iPod
nano. I purchased it over the summer when my nieces and nephew were visiting, thinking I was going to be a cool and hip Aunt. Then recently Apple introduced the new and improved versions of the nano as well as the iPod touch.
What are you gonna do?
Today, I decided to share my CURRENT favorites in equipment as tomorrow, it could change.
The Epson R1800 photo printer is one I utilize mostly for journal-printing and an occasional photo. I prefer to have my photos printed elsewhere. It is nice to have the capability though to print photos. The best feature about this printer is the ability to use 12x12 paper. I must admit that I am still getting to know my printer so we're kinda in the newlywed stage at this point.
Another piece of equipment that I am in the newlywed stage with is the Cricut Expressions. I've used it several times for die-cutting images and letters with great success. And the ability to use 12x12 cardstock as well as 12x24 cardstock is a nice feature. It is very easy to use.
My sewing machine, which I've had for a number of years, is one piece of equipment I do not use very often. I do want to learn more about it's capabilities and even had family and friends show me how to use it but then I forget very quickly. Why? Because I do not use it often enough. That is why I cannot justify purchasing this pink cutie as I do not spend quality time with my current machine. Let's just say I very much want this sewing machine to become a favorite of mine.
The Quickutz Revolution is a great tool where I have the ability to use regular Quickutz shapes and fonts as well as ones designated for the Revolution. And I do like the shapes they offer for this machine, particularly the flourish-type shapes.
I will end with my all-time favorite piece of equipment, which is the Macbook Pro. And what a lovely laptop it is. The widgets are my favorite as well as the ability to open several websites simultaneously without sending the machine into panic-mode. I am learning new things about this laptop all of the time. And I just ordered the new Leopard operating system which should be coming any day now.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but today, I call these my favorites.
