I was in need of a creative outlet but didn't feel like scrapbooking, so over the weekend while hanging out with my girlfriends, I embellished a paper mache' dress form with Uptown paisley & pinstripe patterned paper from Lasting Impressions.
I wrapped ribbon around the waist, tied a bow and added a shiny Prima Fancies Flowers in the center. I then added shiny black Prima Say it with Crystals border around the hem and neck for a classy look (you can see photos of the Prima products here).
With a little inspiration from a display at Recollections, I completed the project at home by adding a wooden dowel, supported by oval chipboard that I stacked (my guy's idea) and punched a hole to support the dowel.
The dress form sits on top of a round box that I embellished with ribbon and black marabou craft boa (you can find it at Create for Less).
And when I said classy, I wanted it to represent a cross-between of Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O. It now serves as an accent for my little closet...all just for fun.
