Here's a tip for candle-users, particularly tapered candles:
Recycling and organizing with Martha Stewart's practical ideas is what motivated me to save paper towel cardboard tubes the last several months. Tonight, I finally put them to good use by storing candle tapers in them.
Past practice was setting them in a drawer, unwrapped and unprotected thereby leaving candle wax stains on the bottom of the drawer. Now they are wrapped in tissue by the pair and inserted into the paper towel tubes. For ID purposes, I plan to tie corresponding colored ribbon around each respective tube.
There is no more rolling around of the candle tapers when the drawer is opened and closed. And there are no more wax stains.
