Copper frame + Burlap = Bulletin Board...
With the inspiration and influence from friends, I finally got around to turning an ornate frame (purchased in Phoenix this year) and converting it into a bulletin board.
All it took was corkboard (found at Target), burlap fabric (from Fabric.com) and the ideal frame. I adhered the burlap to the corkboard using fabric glue. Applying the fabric glue with a foam brush onto the corkboard worked best vs. applying it directly to the fabric. There was less mess and using a brayer to even-out the fabric helped.
Just make sure the grain of the fabric is going in the direction you wish it to go to as I didn't do that and it looks a little crooked.
At the last minute, I decided to accent the board with ribbon (from Stampin' Up!) and hung it above our kitchen desk.
It was a quick and easy project (completed in about 15 minutes).
Apologies on the poor quality of the photos. It seems the only time I take photos around our home is when it's dark out.
Happy Sunday night!
