Gift idea: Candy & Snack Dispenser

One of my father-in-law's favorite snacks is peanuts.  Whether they are cashews, pistachios, peanuts in a shell, peanuts without shells, mixed nuts, and so-on, it's pretty much a staple in his home. 

In the pile of catalogs we received this week, I came across Plow & Hearth's and flipped the page only to see the ideal gift for dearest father-in-law.  A Candy & Snack Dispenser.  It will make a great companion to his resting place (aka recliner) while watching his favorite football team (the Redskins) play each weekend.

I also like how you can change the finial on the dispenser to suit the season and/or occasion. 

It then dawned on me how perfect this type of dispenser would be for my desk at work.  As much as I love Peanut M&Ms with their festive and seasonal colors, I never filled my candy dish with these candies for my co-workers to enjoy for sanitary reasons.  Instead, I share individually wrapped Life Savers in the candy dish. 

This Christmas, my father-in-law will enjoy his nuts of choice displayed in this lovely dispenser as will my office desk look festive with my favorite M&Ms.
