Searching for the proper tools when I am ready to hang a piece of artwork or some sort of decorative wall decor drives me crazy. That is because the tools are scattered throughout our home (in the garage, laundry room and even my craft room).
Today, I decided to gather all the tools necessary for picture hanging into one box.
A level is one tool I am always seeking around our house. So I have two in this tool kit - one small thumb-sized level and a larger corner level.
A pencil is always good to have for marking the walls when measuring if you are hanging more than one piece of artwork on the wall. A tape measure is a must too.
Kelly turned me onto The Hang'em Awl. I used it for the first time recently and it worked like a charm. You must go to their website to view their how-to video.
With the assistance of the Hang'em Awls, I was able to hang this wall shelf (found at Hobby Lobby while in North Carolina recently) in the master bath.
A screwdriver that has both phillips and flat-head tips is also very handy.
The Hercules Hooks hang artwork beautifully and work quite well as long as there are no studs where the holes need to go for hanging.
I'm glad just about everything I need is in one box.
And having it at my disposal will help greatly. I am now anxious to put this new system to the test.
