It is complete chaos in our bedroom right now after having emptied my closet with clothes, shoes, handbags and socks scattered everywhere. Usually it is hard for me to rest in an environment like this, but last night I was cropping with my fabulous friends and stayed out late. By the time I got home, I was ready to drop.
Before I dropped into bed last night, I had to update this 'ol site with a new banner that my very dear friend, Tammy worked on with her friend Erin, as a gift to me. If it weren't for the two of them, my banner would be very basic. I'm always grateful for my friends who share their talent with me.
My friends also made sure I was well-stocked on awesome acrylic stamps, particularly of a damask style and gelatins, which is a new-found addiction for me. And they made sure I am stylishly organized with a Pottery Barn desk accessory, filled my home with wonderful scents and that I go to bed each night wearing Bon Jovi attire and have proper music to listen to during my commute.
My guy is giving me the gift of labor. He removed shelving from the closet and has begun painting a color I selected from a sample a fabulous friend of mine chose for her home. You can see all the test samples on the wall. I decided to stick with a neutral color because I want it to reflect a color scheme similar to Jo Malone, my all-time favorite fragrance line.
The next task is where my guy will paint the ceiling with a high-gloss white, at the recommendation of a talented interior designer. This is in order to achieve reflection of light from an awesome light fixture I selected.
Then next weekend it's my turn to provide the labor and install the new closet system. I hope to burn some serious calories and fulfill my organization obsession when I return my clothing to the new closet.
And speaking of organization, I was at our local grocery store tonight where they carry a small collection of Staples office products. I discovered a binder pocket that closes with Velcro and purchased the last two they had. When I got home, I grabbed my new binder from See Jane Work and decided to tuck the numerous rub-ons and journal boxes I've collected into the binder pockets. I like them because they close shut and there's less risk of fall-out. Unfortunately, I am unable to find the binder pockets on Staples website.
I also purchased Avery insertable dividers to store rub-ons that are taller in size. They stick out from the top of the binder, but as long as they are sorted where I can see them, that is fine with me.
Between time with friends, house-projects with my guy and organizing craft supplies, and a pedicure, I'd have to say my weekend was a great one.
