I am enjoying a Sunday filled with shopping, organizing and arranging things around the home and having some downtime.
I spent time fussing with things on the shelves in my closet. I've rearranged drawers, added more stylish storage boxes (the oval black & cream damask boxes are from the gift bag/gift wrap section at Target and the black & white damask photo boxes are from Organize.com) and am still trying to decide on a light fixture.
And while at Target, I also purchased a Victoria Hagan mirror which will be hung in the guest room (another project brewing...thinking modern neoclassic style). Let me just add that this mirror is much less expensive online than in the store. Plus they are offering free shipping. I wish I had known before I purchased it at the store.
One other item I purchased at Target are Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark Squares. A new-found sweet for me in appropriately-sized individually wrapped pieces. I find peppermint so soothing for the tummy and Ghiradelli has just the right balance of it mixed with chocolate to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Now, rather than working on Christmas cards, which involves using the Cricut Expressions, I decided instead to move the equipment to a more accessible location in my craft room. I've yet to begin working on the cards.
I have distractions that surround me, like great home decor magazines to read. There's nothing like a cold and rainy day, all cuddled-up in my loungewear and appropriate mood-lighting (I LOVE this lamp).
One of my favorite home decor magazines is Domino. Their current issue has some great finds, including a little black mirror that I am adding to my wish list.
The magazine also featured soup bowls that my sister has been searching for. The price is much more reasonable at Amazon than what we saw elsewhere.
It is a lovely Sunday involving a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Hope you are enjoying yours.
